Misconceptions About Psychics

Hey everyone! If you don’t know who I am my name is Shane, also known as Flaming Tarot! I am a lightworker (most people refer to me as a psychic) and reiki master and my goal is to help as many people heal and reach their higher selves. I do this through mainly readings and reiki but also use many other tools.

So, what I want to talk about today is how to tell a real psychic from a fake psychic and common misconceptions. Personally, when I see someone do a video reading or have an ad up, I can tell very quickly if they are real or fake, or my spirit guides will tell me right away. The reason I don’t refer to myself as “psychic,” because it has gotten to the point where people have this picture that many misconceptions have painted.

But because of my experience in this field, I will tell you straight up how to tell five ways to tell a real from a fake so that you’re not wasting your money for someone that won’t help you in the long run.

1) Clairvoyance

So what is clairvoyance? Well to put it into a short explanation, it is someone that can see future events that can happen. It is believed that all psychics must have this ability to be considered a psychic.

So, I’ve told a number of my clients this during my readings. Everyone believes that psychic’s can see the future. The answer to this statement is yes and no.

What a psychic is reading is the current energy of the situation. This means that if no energy or actions change, then the outcome will be what we will see or hear (depends on the gift).

So, for example, if someone asks if they are going to get a job that they had applied for, say that you had interviewed and did well, then the answer would be yes. Well, say that you got a reading right after the interview, and you were the only person that they interviewed, and you did well, then the answer would be yes.

However, say another person interviewed the next day and they did a better job than you and you don’t get the job. This is because that person that also interviewed was the thing that had changed the outcome.

Everyone has free will and the way I do my readings is that if something negative will occur, me and my spirit guides can find a way to change the outcome because the outcome is not the end all be all. So, if you encounter a psychic that is dead set on an outcome, or that say they can see years into the future, then that is a fake psychic.

2) What The Reading is About

Now, this one is just my personal opinion, so there might be some real psychics that do this. A lot of the ads that I see for psychics are “oh let me tell you about your ex.” You know, the one that wants to draw in people who are depressed about specifically a love situation.

Now, if there are actual psychics that use this tactic, I don’t judge. But a lot of the fake ones will use this to gain a lot of money. If you are going to do a fake reading to just tell someone what they want to hear, that is not going to have that customer helped and healed in the long run.

Also, you would not only be connecting to your customer’s energy, but also their ex. And since the ex is not in that person’s life anymore, you are most definitely connecting to that person without their consent.

I never do readings about exes because plain and simple, if you are going to encourage a narrative that wasn’t good for the customer in the first place, you are not helping or healing that person.

3) Reading the Tarot

So, not all psychics use tarot and I know plenty of people that read tarot for fun that are not psychics. However, if you make the claim that you are psychic, at least have a good understanding of how to read the tarot and the meanings.

There are 78 cards in a deck, each with a different meaning (actually 156 meanings if you count the card reversals). And even more when you talk about card combinations.

I cannot tell you how many times I have seen a psychic ad or video and when I see one hear a fake message. It is very disappointing. I have two spirit guides and when I read tarot one speaks to me through the cards and the other speaks directly to me (I am a clairaudient).

But even when my guides speak directly to me during a reading, that is usually when they give me confirmation or I ask a quick question that I don’t use a card for.

4)  Magic

Again, not all psychics use magic, we are all different and have different abilities. However, some do in their practice and some fake psychics copy that to attract depressed customers.

So, I’ll give y’all a hint. When it comes to magic, if it violates free will in any type of way, it is evil, and most psychics and lightworkers would know this. Say you see a listing for an actual love spell.

Well, one of two things would occur. Either it’s a fake psychic that will scam you out of your money. Or, it is someone who is using magic for evil reasons if they actually perform the spell on someone else and it works.

Magic that would not be evil would be something along the lines of something that will make you feel better, but not change the environment around you or violate any free will. I personally don’t use magic, I use reiki, but I do have enough knowledge of magic to know what’s good and what’s evil.

5) The Healing Process

So, the last part of this I want to talk about is the healing process. Everyone in this world is born with gifts, its not until you receive chakra blockages from early events in your life that you lose sight of these gifts.

Now, there are some that keep these gifts throughout their entire life, and those are people that had the most amazing and uplifting childhoods.

Then, you have people like me that unblocked their chakras and unlocked their gifts later down the road. However, it was a major process that I had to go through to fully unlock and master my gifts. And that process is known as the healing process.

There was a REAL psychic that I met in person that gave me the instructions for the early stages, and when I met my spirit guides they helped me with the rest.

This example is mainly for people that teach psychic development. If they don’t go over these facts, then you are giving money to a scammer.

But now you know some ways and explanations to tell a real psychic from a fake and basic misconceptions. And now you also see why I don’t call myself a psychic because of the bad rep that these misconceptions place. But I hope you all have a wonderful day, and remember to never let anyone dim your flame.
